The Email Tool |

The Email tool in Online Campus is used to
pickup and store email messages.
Important! To send email to instructors and classmates, students will use the Classlist tool. |

Accessing the Email tool |
|
To access the Online Campus email tool:
The Email Message List page displays. |
|

| Use the options across the top of the Message List page to access Email tool features. | |
|
|
Return to the message folder last viewed when viewing different email pages. |
|
|
Important! To compose email to instructors and classmates, students will use the Classlist tool. |
|
|
Check for new emails. |
|
|
Access the Folder Management page, where students can create folders and manage messages by saving them in folders they have created. |
|
|
Access the Settings page, where students can customize their email, display, and forwarding options. |
|
Checking Email |
|
| The Message List page displays a list of items in the inbox, including unread emails. | |
|
Email Message Options |
|
|
To read a message, click the subject link
of the message.
The message will open in either a preview pane or new window, depending on the individual settings. The Message Preview page displays. |
|

Use the options across the top of the Message Preview page to reply to, forward, delete, or manage the message.
Note:
Messages opened using the preview pane are not marked as read. To mark a
message as read, click the Mark Read icon
|

This option will open the Compose New
Message with the senders email address in the To: field of the email. |
|
|
This option will open the Compose New
Message with the senders email address and any other email addresses in
the original email message in the To: field. This means that
anyone who received the original email, will receive the email. |
|
|
This option will open the Compose New Message with the original email in the text area but the To: field will be blank. Students do not have access to an address book. Students must know the address to fill the To: Field |

Marks the email as not read |
|
|
Converts the email to a simple text format and provides a print button |

This option allows the user to associate
the message with one or more course offerings. Email messages can be
filtered based on messages' course offering associations. |

This will relocate the email message to the selected folder. |

Selecting a flag for an email message will show a visual representation of a "flag" next to the message. |

Email Message Folders |
|
|
Folders help manage messages by organizing
them into groups. A list of all folders displays in the Folder List pane of the Message List page if it is enabled on the Settings page. By default everyone will have the following folders: • Inbox • Drafts • Sent • Trash Folders can be added to this list as needed. |
